Grand Canyon West: home of the incredible Grand Canyon Skywalk, where the bottom of the Grand Canyon is just a helicopter ride away! This adventure begins at the Boulder City Airport Terminal, where you'll board a state-of-the-art airplane designed for sightseeing. En route to the Grand Canyon, you'll find aerial views of the majestic Mojave Desert, Hoover Dam, the O'Callaghan-Tillman Bridge, and Lake Mead. After landing at the Grand Canyon West airstrip, climb aboard our state-of-the-art helicopter for a thrilling descent 4,000 feet down to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, getting up close and personal with the rugged cliffs and majestic spires!
A short hike down a canyon trail leads to the riverside dock, where pontoon boats wait to take you on a smooth water float on the Colorado River. After your river trip, reboard your helicopter and fly back to the rim where motorcoaches are waiting to begin your ground tour. Your first stop is the West Rim's most exciting attraction, the Grand Canyon Skywalk! This horseshoe-shaped glass bridge juts 70 feet past the canyon's edge without struts or support beams, giving you the spine-tingling sensation of walking on air hundreds of feet above the canyon floor. This area is called Eagle Point, named for the magnificent eagle-shaped rock formation visible from across the Skywalk. Your tour includes general admission entry onto the Skywalk.
At Guano Point guests can walk around a rock promontory to view remnants of the tram line and other mining relics that still stand. This area of the canyon also offers a 360-degree view of the surrounding landscape. You can choose any location at the Grand Canyon to enjoy a meal available for purchase. After your Grand Canyon West experience, you'll board the airplane for return flight to Boulder City.
